T.A.P Update

We finished fundraising for T.A.P in November last year, having raised £10,000. Since then, T.A.P have been giving us regular updates as to how they’ve used your very generous donations. You can remind yourself of T.A.P’s projects by clicking on the Beneficiaries page.

Hikes

The next hike is scheduled for August, and T.A.P now have a core team of youth partners to help staff on the hikes. T.A.P’s working with other organisations to try and give even more young people the chance to join the hikes, black men in particular.

T.A.P.’s also managed to source c.20 pairs of hiking boots through Black Girls Hike and Berghaus. Having access to proper boots will really enhance the young people’s experience on the hike (as anyone who’s been on a hike will know!).

MOBB TV

T.A.P worked with Art Official films (a black business) to create promotional videos for MOBB TV. These have now been edited and returned to T.A.P (and we hear they include beautiful footage of the Manchester skyline shot by drone). We’re really looking forward to seeing them and will be sure to post them once they’ve been released.

Non-financial help

Even though we’ve finished fundraising for T.A.P, we will still be available to provide non-financial assistance. We’ve been working with a legal team from an international investment bank to provide pro-bono legal work to T.A.P, e.g. data protection training.
